This past weekend the husband and I decided we desperately needed to get away. We needed some fun, concentrated family time without the worry of whether or not the lawn needed to be mowed or if the 137th load of laundry needed folding because inevitably both would have been answered with a "YES". We wanted to stay somewhat close by so we decided to head to Williamsburg and would figure out what to do after we got there. We found an awesome deal online for Greensprings Family Resort and booked a night.
We showed up for check in around 4:30 and came upon an enormous, apartment-like space. 2 big bedroom, 2 baths, full kitchen, living room, deck, etc. Fab-U-lous!! We didn't even unpack, we just literally threw off our clothes, donned our bathing suits and we were back out the door to the pool. The pool they have there is so beautiful. It has a zero-entry which turned out to be the spot I plopped down on with Raegan, a waterfall, kids area, warm soaking area and a cabana. Can't forget to mention the cabana where upon I had the most delicious pina colada. Mmmm Mmmm! After Logan had what we like to refer to as a "pizza blast" (also known as a REALLY great time), we decided that one night just wasn't enough. We called the front desk and booked another night. We pigged out, swam, watched cable TV (Oh how I miss cable TV), shopped a little and just enjoyed being together as a family. Now we are back to reality (BOOOooooooooo!!!) but are so thankful for our time away and we are looking that much more forward to our real vacation in August.
